Who is responsible for collecting and processing the data?

Informa D&B (SERVIÇOS DE GESTÃO DE EMPRESAS), SOCIEDADE UNIPESSOAL, LDA, is the entity responsible for the collection and processing of personal data, and may, within the scope of its activity, resort to entities subcontracted by it for the pursuit of the purposes indicated herein.

What is personal data?

Personal data is any information of any nature and regardless of its medium, including sound and image, relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. A person shall be regarded as identifiable if they can be identified directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identification number or to one or more factors specific to their physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.

Which personal data are collected and processed?

Informa D&B mainly collects data related to companies. However, and because companies are necessarily represented by natural persons, it collects the personal data of these holders only to the strict extent necessary for the pursuit of the purposes set out below. The data collected directly from the website are the following:

  • E-mail
  • Telephone number
  • Mobile phone number
  • Town
  • Address
  • Job title

Informa D&B assumes that the data have been provided by the owner of the data or that the owner has given permission to its provision and assumes that the data are true and up to date.

How are the data processed by Informa D&B collected?

Personal data may be collected by the following means:

  3. Phone calls

The data collected are processed and stored by computer and in strict compliance with personal data protection legislation and are stored in specific databases created for this purpose by Informa D&B or the entities it subcontracts.

Some personal data collected on the website are mandatory and, in case of lack or insufficiency of such data, Informa D&B may not be able to provide the services or information requested by you. In each specific case, the Company will inform you of the mandatory nature of the provision of the personal data in question.

What is the purpose of the data collected?

The data are intended to be part of a personal data file that Informa D&B may use for the following purposes:

  2. Contact list,
  3. Opening new Customers and updating data,
  4. Sending newsletters,
  5. Sending commercial information about Informa D&B services,
  6. Compliance with legal or regulatory obligations.

For the purposes identified above, Informa D&B may interconnect the data collected for the purpose of updating and completing such data.

What is the basis for processing your data?

The processing of the data collected directly on the website is mainly based on the contract for the provision of Informa D&B services or on pre-contractual steps for the provision of these services. The processing of your data may also be based on the fulfilment of legal obligations.

With whom are your data shared?

The data collected and held by Informa D&B may be transmitted, with due regard for the duty of confidentiality and the principle of purpose for which they were collected, to the following entities:

  1. Entities of the group in which Informa D&B is inserted;
  2. Legal or administrative authorities, when such assignment is compulsory;
  3. Subcontractors who will process the data on behalf of the Company and in accordance with the purposes determined by it.

Are your data handled securely?

Informa D&B is committed to ensuring the protection of your data security. To that end, it adopted a number of security measures of technical and organisational nature, in order to protect the personal data you provide to us from dissemination, loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorised access or processing, as well as from any other form of illicit handling. Informa D&B requires from its subcontractors and partners the adoption of security measures equivalent to those it practices. Notwithstanding the security measures practiced by Informa D&B, the user must adopt additional security measures, namely, ensure that they use devices and a browser that is updated as regards security, properly configured, with an active firewall, antivirus and anti-spyware, and ensure the authenticity of the websites they visit on the Internet, avoiding websites whose reputation they do not trust.

Communications

Informa D&B acknowledges that it may communicate customer data in the context of merger, acquisition and/or incorporation processes in which it is involved, not considering such communication as a transfer of data to third parties, nor any subcontracted processing.

Informa D&B may also transmit data to third parties in the course of investigations, inquiries and legal and/or administrative proceedings or of a similar nature, provided that this is duly mandated by a court order.

Data transfer

Should data transfers to other countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area occur, Informa D&B will comply with the law, in particular as regards the suitability of the destination country with regard to the protection of personal data and the requirements that apply to such transfers, and personal data will not be transferred to jurisdictions that do not offer guarantees of security and protection.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

Informa D&B reserves the right to make adjustments or changes to this Privacy Policy at any time, with such changes being duly disclosed on this website.
